strict requirements for valve installation
Dalunwei Valve Co., Ltd. has strict requirements for ball valve installation. Precautions for valve installation involve many aspects, including preparation before installation, operation specifications during installation, and inspection after installation. The following are detailed precautions:
Preparation before installation
1. Check valve information:
Carefully check whether the valve model and specifications meet the design requirements or drawing requirements.
Check whether the material and pressure level of the valve meet the conditions of use.
2. Check the valve status:
Check whether the stem and disc are open flexibly, and whether they are stuck and skewed.
Check whether the valve is damaged, and whether the thread of the threaded valve is correct and intact.
Check whether the combination of the valve seat and the valve body is firm, and whether the connection between the components is tight.
3. Cleaning and testing:
Remove the debris in the valve, such as dust, sand, etc.
Perform necessary tests on the valve, such as strength test and tightness test, to ensure that the valve performance is qualified.
Installation process specification
1. Installation position and direction:
The valve should be installed in a place that is convenient for operation, maintenance and overhaul, and is strictly prohibited from being buried underground. If it is necessary to bury, an inspection well room should be set up.
Pay attention to the flow sign of the valve to ensure that the installation direction of the valve is consistent with the flow direction of the medium.
For directional valves (such as globe valves, check valves, etc.), installation must be carried out strictly in accordance with the flow direction of the medium.
2. Installation height and operating space:
The hand wheel or operating device of the valve should be easy to operate, and the general installation height is 1.0-1.2m from the ground.
When installing valves on high-altitude pipelines, it should be considered to set up an operating platform or use a vertical low chain remote control.
3. Flange and thread connection:
When installing flanged valves, ensure that the end faces of the two flanges are parallel and concentric, and the bolts should be evenly tightened along the diagonal direction.
When installing threaded valves, ensure that the threads are intact and apply sealing materials (such as PTFE raw tape) to the threads.
Threaded valves should be installed in the closed state to prevent media leakage.
Check after installation
1. Check the installation quality:
After the installation is completed, the valve should be opened and closed test to ensure that the valve switch is flexible and not stuck.
Check whether the sealing surface of the valve is tight without leakage.
2. Record and mark:
Record the installed valves, including model, specification, installation position, etc.
Mark the marking information such as medium flow direction and pressure level on the valve.
